Zekko LLC is a medical device and software company founded by an orthopaedic surgeon with deep expertise in complex hip and knee reconstruction. We bridge the gap between the operating room and the engineering bench — developing hardware and software solutions that improve the precision, safety, and efficiency of orthopaedic procedures.

Dr. Montgomery is a fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon specializing in hip and knee reconstruction. He earned his MD from the University of Calgary in 2014 and completed his orthopaedic surgery residency there in 2019. He subsequently completed a Lower Extremity Reconstruction Fellowship at the University of Toronto's St. Michael's Hospital and a Biodesign Innovation Fellowship at Stanford University.
Since November 2021, Dr. Montgomery has served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, where he specializes in primary and revision hip and knee arthroplasty, including complex revision procedures and same-day-discharge joint replacement. Zekko LLC was founded to translate his surgical insight and biodesign training into practical orthopaedic innovations.
What We're Building
Zekko LLC is actively developing a portfolio of hardware and software solutions across orthopaedic surgery and healthcare administration.
A proprietary surgical cutting instrument system designed for revision total knee arthroplasty. The device addresses key challenges in femoral preparation during complex revision procedures, with the goal of improving accuracy and reducing intraoperative variability. Patent application filed.
An integrated system combining precision surgical instrumentation with a companion software platform for preoperative planning and intraoperative guidance in revision total knee arthroplasty. Designed to streamline complex revision workflows from imaging to execution.
A native iOS application for surgical planning in total hip arthroplasty. CupCalc helps orthopaedic surgeons rapidly calculate and verify cup positioning parameters, supporting accurate acetabular component placement. Currently pending approval on the Apple App Store.
A purpose-built software platform for tracking, managing, and reporting orthopaedic consulting engagements and associated expenses. Designed to simplify compliance documentation and financial reporting for surgeon consultants working with industry partners.
